Know how for students

For us, working with students is a natural way of transferring the knowledge gained during research. Colllegium XR participated in consultations and advisory services for 42 diploma theses and projects carried out by future certified authors. This section presents the best theses at the Bachelor’s and Master’s level, in which Collegium XR had the choice and implementation of multimedia technologies.

The main goal of working with students?
It is the exploration of the student’s skills combined with the fitting of the future diploma into the art market or the creative sector

What does working with students look like?
– Preparing the diploma in the studio does not end at the production and concept stage.
– We conduct it using the tutoring method, using active listening techniques, brainstorming and design thinking
– We prepare a diploma in terms of competitions and presentations on the startup and networking / art market
– Regular meetings and work organization using Miro tools and Google slides
– Support in the design process and preparation for commercialization with searching for financial support

Our experience?
For 15 years we have been running commercial and non-profit projects with a focus on expanding knowledge at the interface of modern technologies such as VR, AR, XR, as well as interactive installations, advertising and the creative sector. We specialize in integrating art and culture with advanced digital technologies. We share knowledge about: Unity / Unreal engine, AR and image recognition methods, VR engines and VR chat platforms such as Mozilla Hubs, 3D Scanning, Game Dev, Interactive e-learning, Internet of things, DOOH advertising and agency mechanisms interactive, Interactive museums, Automation of digital processes and processes in public space, digital street art, ecology in the digital age. The collegium team helped with technological consultations regarding rendering and adapting the model to VR standards on the HTC Vive goggles.

Anna Pacewicz - "Conceptual biome design for a cooperative computer game inspired by the works of Zdzisław Beksiński" (2018)

Dr. Michał Hyjek is the promoter and coordinator of preparations for commercialization in this artistic work. A series of animated pictures was created to promote the concept artbook in the indie gaming environment. Noteworthy is the extensive documentation of the work and the presentation of the creative process.

Katarzyna Klima - "The concept of a computer game based on the city of Krakow" (2020)

The game takes place in the style of post-pandemic, apocalyptic, but more green and deindustrialized Krakow.

Ewelina Przybylska - "Pupyl - pet care organizer" (2020)

Design of a mobile application helping in the care of pets. An important element of the design is an accessory – a GPS collar, thanks to which you can monitor the amount of movement and additionally locate the animal. After this angle and the registration of tasks and duties towards the dog, the application sketch, screen design and usability test are created. We encourage you to read the documentation.

Barbara Maria Demirkaya - "Campaign against the stigmatization of the Turkish population and culture" (2021)

The work is a holistic approach to creating a social campaign where visually attractive content is communicated using the most influential channels / techniques in social media today. As part of the consultations, Collegium XR examined the effectiveness of the message with the use of simple animations.

Aleksandra Szufnara - "Artbook fantasy" (2021)

A creationist book project made by a talented student popularizing the topic of spiritual development, esotericism and astrology. The work contains materials that can stimulate future creators (game dev market, animation, film), and thanks to the help of the Collegium XR team, the materials were shown at the mozilla hubs gallery.

Agnieszka Wagner - "Nothing Good To Wear" (2020)

Project of an advertising campaign for information purposes on the conscious production and use of textile fabrics. In the times of greenwashing and mass production of clothes, it is important to know the basic parameters of clothes and the effects of their purchase and use, which can be expanded thanks to the use of the application and the website.

Victoriia Khomenko - "Using augmented reality to visualize illustrations for the book Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad" (2018)

Augmented reality technology has great potential for development and can be used in various fields. The use of AR allows to facilitate certain types of professional activity and to increase the availability of educational materials. The training or entertainment process becomes interactive. The student’s work shows detailed 3D models, but the AR marker is also quite unusual, because it is made of charcoal drawings.

Anna Wydymus - "Augmented reality in an art book" (2020)

As part of consultations and technological consultancy, the Collegium XR team helped in the selection of algorithms and a graphic engine in the implementation of AR mechanisms supporting an artistic book with elements that were not printed or were to diversify the reception of the album.

Rafał Wilczek - "Lunicate – service supporting the sale of restaurants" (2018)

As part of consultations and technological consultancy, the Collegium XR team helped design an IoT device supporting the application that prevents food waste in restaurants. The documentation shows the progress of the solution and the complexity of the project.

Sebastian Duran - "Animo – Mobile application design" (2018)

A mobile application that prevents distraction during work and turns your phone into a temporary cryptocurrency micro excavator for charity.

Monika Syposz - "Secret Garden - augmented reality" (2017)

A graphic student while making a pop-up book, asked for help in the creative use of AR technology. The Collegium XR team tested and implemented an application that recognizes the shapes of shadows generated by the book after unfolding it and illuminating it with a flashlight. The shadows become AR markers, which, after being read by the phone, allow the reader to learn more information and tasks that the reader of the book must perform.

Justyna Zębaty - "Wenerki - a social campaign" (2018)

Social campaign supporting knowledge about sexual life. With the help of image filters on Snapchat and a dedicated project page, teenagers receive information about their health through AR filters. Collegium XR helped in the implementation of technological solutions in terms of recognizing the image and face of the user.
